Ram OE Fender Flares

What are your thoughts on a set of Bushwhacker OE Fender Flares on the Ram. I am thinking of getting a set......would probably be left black to continue the black/white theme already going on.

I don't see the function of them, I don't feel like the stick out far enough to prevent much of anything. I would also paint them white, don't leave them black.

Get the black and make sure to pick up a bottle of Adam's Super VRT to keep them shining.

The only reasons I was considering these over the Extend-A-Fenders is that my tires are fairly narrow, someone on another forum ordered the wrong ones (cheap), and someone dinged my driver's front fender the other day.

I would much rather have these (although I am not real fond of the front termination):
