If cars mileage when up like the cost of fuel has over the years, I wouldn't have a problem paying more. But you can't keep jumping the price of fuel if your not going raise the mileage cars get. The speculators are crushing America in my opinion. People have to buy gas to get to work, so they spend less everywhere else. :dunno:

I'd like to see fuel just under $3 personally. The oil industry doesn't need to make Billions each quarter.

It's $4.29 for regular here. I think it's all a scam, they could lower the price if they wanted to, but they are all rich, money hungry bastards. :tmc:

You folks seem to be forgetting that the oil companies are a FOR PROFIT bunch. They are not in it to break even or lose money. I don't fault them for selling gas for as much as they can.

If you owned an oil company, you sure as heck would be making as much as possible.

Just like anything else, price is determined by what people are willing to pay. Demand versus supply rules the world. As long as demand remains high, prices will follow. If American drivers bought a lot less fuel for a few weeks, you'd see the price come down. We cound easily do it, but nobody wants to be that person that is inconvenienced.
