Why buy new when you can restore?
Well, I finally found another S10. It's located 1 1/2hrs from me and is everything I've been looking for (I really wanted the newest body style).
2001 Chevy S10 ECSB 4x4 5spd
Forest Green
Tan or gray interior - no tears, could use a shampooing
153k
3rd door, 4-wheel discs, no hitch (bumper ball), factory fog lights (haven't seen many with them; another plus for me), A/C works, AM/FM cassette (no CD), 50%+ tires, push button 4x4, no leaks
replaced: door pins, 3rd door handle (which is almost always broken), emergency brake shoes
minor issues: left fender has a couple scratches (no deep), one rust bubble on right-rear fender, scuff on front bumper
Of course all this is by the guys word.
I'll be looking at it around 9am tomorrow.

.........I think is more like a want rather than a need.
