Dana 44 or? Some info please.

so i want to upgrade my differentials or just differential to dana 44 but some people say they just leave the front differential alone and just change the back one to a dana 44 but like always put the same gears

i have a 92 cherokee 5 speed manual 2 door
so i was wondering what gear ratio to go with since i have 33's and maybe later on 35's

my idea was leave the front differential dana 30 i believe and change the back to dana 44, put 4.56 gears for both with a autolocker carrier

any suggestions?

Sounds like a better setup. D30's are pretty puny. Even on a jeep... I would also go 4.56 for that size tire. Sounds like you got a plan.

its hard finding dana 44's for the front thats the only issue im having
