Yep it's 4Hi all the time, 4 speed, 33" tires, lifted, +700 pounds of aftermarket bumpers, rock sliders, roof rack, skid plates, and me driving. Last time we had it weighed it was 6300 pounds.

The only think you will really hate about the Armada (other than its dismal resale value) is 12 MPG. They get absolutely horrible fuel economy. I had a Titan and was lucky to get 14 if I was very very easy on it... and Armada is a tank compared to a Titan.

I haven't checked on them in the last few years, but when I was looking around in 2007, the Armadas were not known for their reliability.. Coming from your British vehicles, that may not be an issue for you.. But,

Personally, when I was looking in 2007, I decided to go with a domestic product, because they seemed to have higher reliability ratings and they were what the imports were wanting to be..
If price is the issue, maybe looking at something a couple of years old with low miles..

That's the one he keeps talking about. This is really his choice. All I can do is throw out suggestions. I already have what I want. Now it's his turn with guidance. But we hate having a truck note, so he may not even do anything. We'll see. Very wishy washy he is.

I keep telling him to just drive the MG until he finds something he cannot pass up. But he has this itch and on the 2nd the '70 Rover is gone to a new home. And once we go out to Maryland, we have the little 450SL to restore. So we don't really need something now, but he is very persistent and wants something to fix all of us so we don't have to take 2 trucks everytime all of us want to go somewhere.

I can understand not wanting a new loan payment, especially with the move, etc. going on..
