My review of the 2010 Dodge Charger SXT (rental):
IT SUCKS!
Positives:
1. Smooth ride, only on smooth cement or asphalt, at highway speeds (60+ mph).
2. Stereo turned up loud enough to cover up the road noise. Good system (Infinity).
3. Color - Red
Negatives:
1. On highway:
a. Road noise - Goodyear tires. Still way too much noise. 3x as loud as my Pro Comps on my Ford (and they are loud on the freeway.)
b. Unresponsive steering - felt really sluggish
c. Rough ride over any slight bump - Felt like my butt was scraping on the ground
d. In ECO mode, too long of a hesitation to get to passing gear - Car hesitated a few seconds before it would shift down. I finally found the button to turn off that crap.
2. Around town:
a. Road noise - same as above except at lower speeds it is much louder.
b. Power drivers seat (10 way) sucked - I could never find the "right" position, seat would feel too close or too far back. Could not get it to adjust up. Lumber support is too hard.
c. 1st gear hesitation - 'nuff said
d. Cup holders are positioned too far back in the center console - I kept hitting anything in them with my right elbow.
e. Cubby holes in middle of dash are only 2" deep - They barely hold a lighter.
I would never request one, when I needed a rental, again.

...America and Americans can engineer better than that
..I'm saddened that it isn't happening.
