FYI for anyone that joins:

Go into the settings right away and change the subscription setting so that you don't always automatically subscribe. When I signed up, I posted in about 4 threads right away and got emails for ever new post in those threads.

Hey guys, Thanks for the kind words and introducing me to this forum. it looks like a pretty good one.

I had some fun with testing the filters out, I'm glad it is useful to more people than just me.

Looks to me like you went to a lot of trouble and didn't enter your opinion into the test. I'm sure anybody can shoot holes in anybody else's test, but I thought it was well done.

and don't worry too much about thread derailment rules and such, basically if the thread starter is okay with it, I typically am. I'm usually not strict about most things unless I have to be to fix a problem or something. (with the exception of porno and profanity large enough to read anywhere other than sitting at the computer... I do alot of my posting durring downtime at my work, as do several of my friends on there)

I actually don't mind if people have concerns about the study, in my field of work your research has to go through alot of scrutiny, but what bugs me are those guys that sit around bitching about stuff on the internet but never do anything. ah well.

thanks guys.

yeah the distributorless coil near plug stuff is over there. my engine is a L31 vortec 350, but I've changed it to run the 8 LS2 coils, I've also replaced the 'spider' CSFI, with a real MPFI running external injectors (kinda like an LSx gen III), I run it with a 2002 LS1B 12200411 PCM. so I figure it's part L31, part LS1, I call it the LS31 :D heh.

I'm currently working on an article about swapping to the 411 PCM in the early OBDII trucks. and a couple others.

Welcome man! The write up was pretty well done. I had no idea how much one oil filter could be different from another. Your '96 is BFA too. :thumbs:
