Well I just spent $30 on supplies to fix this and there is no way to use the clamps to compress the spring enough for it to go into place so I can "weld" it.

fWONk!

I don't know what to do now! I have two handles broken that are nice and pretty on one side and fWONked up on the other!

Ok so could anyone think of some other ways to do this? I can't can't anywhere with the way I wanted to do it.

I bought some of these thinking they would be able to hold the tension of the spring down. NOPE. I will be returning these to get something else.

I need some ideas guys. On one of the handles I applied JB weld with some metal bars supporting it from the opposite side. I honestly don't think that'll work. But who knows. These things are a royal pain in my ARSE!

Yeah man clamps are expensive and that kind (not brand but actual clamp type) don't really hold up all that well. You might be best off with a large C-clamp

Well I went and got some clamps from my Dad's shop. These actually worked just right here are some pics. I'm gonna let them dry for 24hrs like this. I reinforced them with some aluminum pieces I had laying around.

Well it has been 24 hours, and I just took the clamps off and they are rock solid! I will put a little bit more on there just for security. These are going to be used quite a bit.

So if all goes well I'll be putting these in tomorrow or over the weekend.

good luck, its a pain in the butt to get them in the doors, word of advise the passenger side is easier, i suggest doing that one first so you get the idea of how it works first then the driverside that is harder you at least have the idea of how it goes in then you can deal with the key pad wiring also
