If I went the route with the adapter I would put it behind the HU and ziptie it something sturdy. Although it's only $5 more than the 745, I'd do it. But I will probably go with the 745U from Amazon and call it done. One wire from the back of the HU to the iPod.

Edit: Travis said that he may have it in inventory, but he'd have to check with his distributor. He said he can't match low bottom pricing online, but he is an authorized Kenwood dealer.

If I go with the 445U I will need this. ($36.50 on Amazon). Thinking about paying an extra $50 or so and getting 745U with a direct connection.
745U, hands down. Those iPod-to-CD-changer interfaces never work as good as a direct iPod-to-headunit connection.

I'm starting to think the same thing. Also looking into some sound deadning material for the doors. Hell, I may just replace the door speakers while I'm at it!

What's a good place to order sound deading material from? Thinking about doing the doors for now

I've never use it. Guess I really never thought too. Maybe when I redo the truck, I'll add some!
