I may do that. I have thought about it a couple times but I usually change my oil at dads shop and he always has a case or two of the valvoline racing sitting there. That makes the price really cheap

It isn't recommended for street use due to the high content of ZDDP.

AMSOIL Dominator Synthetic 15W-50 Racing Oil is recommended for high-rpm, high-horsepower, turbo/supercharged, gasoline- or alcohol-burning, nitro-fueled or nitrous oxide gas-injected applications operated under severe conditions.
Applications include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Asphalt Late Model • Dirt Late Model • Modified Big Block • Ford Crate Late Model • Dodge Crate Late Model • Endurance • Rally • Sprint • Truck-Pull • Aluminum Block • Marine • Other high-performance racing and street applications requiring 50-weight oil.

Even if it sees 3500 RPM + regularly?
It might not be high performance, but it's sure as hell raced!
Nick, if running the dominator oil do you know what the recommended change interval would be?

I've been knocked down drug out and left for dead
Cool Robert. I switched on the 20th of November to Amsoil XL. I've put 4600 miles on it already. My change engine oil light came on around 4200 miles. I've never gone more than 3000-3500 miles before. I'm tempted to change it. I've also burned about 1/2 a quart in this time. A lot of it has been highway driving at 70+ mph. 
Robert, it is safe to say you can run it like you have been the Valvoline and to extend it farther then I would do an oil analysis. Let me know and I can work with you on that if you like.
