Yep...and if it is cold it turns on the heated seats and the heated steering wheel.. all automatically.
The DTS also knows if there is anything on the windshield and back window.
If there is frost or ice...it turns on the defroster for front and back window... waits a couple of minutes, then heats the WASHER FLUID to 140 degrees and sprays it on the windshield and then runs the wipers for just a minute to clear everything off. And, if I've had a bad day and I'm feeling tense the grip detectors in the steering wheel can tell that I'm tense, and activates the seatback massage unit to relax me, while at the same time monitoring my blood pressure. If, after five minutes, I'm still not relaxed enough, a hose comes out from under the dash and gives me a BJ.

My DTS is a "REAL" Cadillac... :rollin:

"Fixed" that for ya... :jester:

:naughty:

Wow,that's a lot of stuff. But at least it's being done on their dime and you'll have almost a brand new car when yo get it back...and good for another 100,000

That's what I am hoping...
Glad I am not paying the bill.
Well over 4 grand...:(

Damn,ain't nothing cheap on a Caddy,huh?

The stupid HID headlight assembly is 1600 bucks to replace.
The front bumper has to be removed to replace the headlight... and the only thing wrong with it was it needed a new ballast for the HID's.
The ballast is "INSIDE" the darn headlight...and it is a sealed unit... so the whole thing has to be replaced as a unit.

To replace the case halfseal... they have to pull the transmission while supporting the engine.. then take the pan and the bottom half of the engine off and then replace the seal.
It is kinda like a pan gasket...but higher up on the engine.

If you have ballast problems, you can get 'em cheap from ebay after the warranty is done

Drove it. Rinsed the worst of the salt off it. Both doors still open and the locks work . Put $44 of gas in the thirsty thing and got 18mpg....I guess it isn't too bad since my old '94 4cyl S10 got 21 in the winter.
