Why buy new when you can restore?
The rims I got off eBay came.
All I can say is that the pictures CAN'T do them justice. These things are damn near spotless. They have quite a bit of dirt (all dried and dusty) behind the center caps. I have never seen the backside of a rim be so clean, but I guess this is what you get when they're from CA with no salt. They do have some VERY light surface scratches (clear coat only). The lug nuts must have only been put on at the factory and then taken off when the rims were only. They are barely nicked or scuffed at all. The worst part about the whole thing is the center caps. It appears that they were put face down on some concrete or maybe some small rocks. Luckily I now have 8 center caps to choose from

Now for a few pics.
The boxes were from some American Racing Dale Jr rims of some kind. There was a plastic ring that was supposed to protect one lip, but the ring is for at least a 18" or 20" rim so it really didn't do much good. The bottom of one must have gotten really wet because it is almost non-existent.
This rim has the most surface scratches (the flash really makes them stand out)
Anyways, can I have someone professionally buff and polish these? There are some light surface scratches that I'd like to get taken care of before I forget.
What should I used on them to clean them up (in terms of a soap and cloth to use)?
