Personally i`m feeeling leaving the emblem and painting the red in the GMC black (then putting in the black bar overlay). i think it would look real sharp. having absolutley no markings on it might be too much, like to keep a slight familiarity. :dunno:

Clancy, the full replacement actually sits back an inch or so into the surround so it looks right. The overlay is almost flush with the front of the surround which looks odd, IMO.

Don't back out on the de-badged plan now!!! :ohnoes:

Yes the bowtie can be removed without removing the grill. Just have to remove the radiator cover and reach down with a small screw driver and push in two tabs.

well i`ve never been so on the fence about anything, hence why i haven`t done it yet. such a tough call, wish i could see both side by side in person...

Grille install looks great Jrod. Looks like there is a bunch more smoothing and sanding than there was on my GMC install.
