I heard on the news last night that gas is expected to be $3.75 a gallon by spring. That's for 87.

I hear you. I haven't had a labor increase since '98. Do you remember how much gas was back then. All of my profit is going in the tank.

For the person who threatened a "lynching," I finally had to get gas again. I do wish I had planned on doing that, though... But, when I started the car, the gauge stayed below the empty mark. So, I checked the "range to empty" and it showed "---" (zero / "you're already on empty, dummy!"). So, I found a station and filled up.. 40 degrees, cold concrete, bare feet, shorts and a shirt was now exactly how I had planned my next fill-up.. Maybe that's payback for "I haven't had to get gas since just after Thanksgiving!" Anyway! $2.85 / gallon..

Yeah, for a while it was cheaper up there than down here (in Anchorage anyway) But then a couple of years ago when it went up everywhere, it stayed there even when prices dropped in the 48.

Sucks, the refineries are there, and they can get away with it.
