Ford F-150
I always thought those and the '93 Lightnings were a joke.
Didnt the SS have something like 260 hp?

I don't remember the actual numbers but yes, for a big block the HP numbers were pretty weak.I always thought those and the '93 Lightnings were a joke.

The early 90s were just the beginning of the horsepower races. The 70s and 80s sapped every bit of power from the engines to comply with emissions testing... Anybody remember the 160 horsepower V8s from Ford and GM? By 1990, new and better fuel injection systems were coming along and manufacturers started thinking performance again. The 454SS ans Lightning were just early versions.I always thought those and the '93 Lightnings were a joke.

Greg, why is a '92 the best?Yeah 230 hp, pretty lame. The one to have is the '92 with the overdrive trans. But pretty cool because they were kinda the first sport truck from a manufacturer.
4-speed autoI'd love to find one. Some engine upgrades and it would be sick!

What trans would that be? The non-electronic version of the 4L80E right?4-speed autoI'd love to find one. Some engine upgrades and it would be sick!
