Yeah but do this with care. Excessive amounts could get into the intake and this is what you don't want. But I always have peace in mind using Carb cleaner cause the majority of it evaporates.

OK. Thanks!!

I'll be cleaning it on the floor away from the truck AND I'll let it dry a little before putting it back on.

I'll be back once I'm done and have driven the truck.

Well, some good news.

The truck does now idle down!!!!
However, it does it kind of slowly. It will go down a couple hundred RPM's, stops, drops another 400 slowly, and then drop the last 600 or so fast all the way down to 800 which is the idle speed. Two or three times the RPM's didn't change at all when I pushed in the clutch going 30mph.

I'm gonna drive it this week as it is and see what it does. I'll be getting gas tomorrow...and the MPG's won't be pretty. I'm at 1/4 tank with 215mi. Normally I'm at 250 or more. So in short, I'm praying for a MAJOR inprovement in gas mileage.

Thank you guys so much for all your help!!!!

Since I was unable to find an answer to this problem anywhere else, I just want to restate my problem and attempted solution thus far.

I started out with having a high idle whenever I would push in the clutch (5spd manual) at any given speed. Also, the truck could drive itself along at 30mph without pressing on the gas pedal at all. The RPM's would just sit at wherever they were at the time of pushing in the clutch. The only way I found to get it to come down was to hit the pedal to the floor fast and rev the engine to 3000-3500rpm and then it would idle right down to 800. The only other way was to slow down with the clutch out and dragging the RPM's down to 1000.
I have replaced the IAC (idle air control) valve and the TPS (throttle position sensor) along with cleaning the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve and installing a new gasket for it.
If I were to do it all again, I would just start by removing and cleaning the IAC and EGR to save money.

Data Recording and Code Checking

I just got the Nemisys scanner from my friend.

It turns out that I have 6 error codes. This is what it said:
P0107 = MAP/BARO sensor low
P0122 = TPS sensor A circuit low input
P0144 = O2 circuit high voltage bank 1, sensor 3
P0146 = O2 circuit no activity detected bank 1, sensor 3
P0147 = O2 heater circuit bank 1, sensor 3
P0300B = random/multiple misfire detected

Can anyone tell me what these mean, what's causing the problem, and what might be the fix?

Right now I'm working on getting the software for the scanner installed on my laptop so I can put the data right on here.

You should clear all old codes, then see where you are. The O2 sensor looks bad, I don't remember if you said you have changed that yet or not?

Need to weed out the old stuff though since you have been doing so much work to it, some of them may not be current codes.

Yep...what Jarrod and Scott said...
Clear all codes...then go drive it a few minutes...see what codes come back...

I cleared them a little bit ago and went for a 20mi drive. Nothing has come back yet. I'll check them every day.

I think it is important to note that after clearing them, upon startup the engine was hunting for idle speed by about 100-200rpm.
The entire time, both before and after clearing, the TPS always said 0% with my foot off the pedal.

I recorded some stuff while driving (which would be AFTER resetting the codes). There are 4 of them.
1st = interstate @ 60mph
2nd = interstate @65mph
3rd = WOT run in 3rd gear getting on the interstate
4th = one was at home idling.
