i'm in this club. Active Duty E5/LS2 in the Navy. Stationed in Pearl Harbor, onboard a Destroyer. Hate my command with passion, can't wait to relocate in the summer. PCS'ing to Coronado to work w/SPECOPS.

Guess I can understand if your command blows...but Hawaii!??Should be boots on ground in Afghanistan early November, the unit we replace deployed in early December IIRC. Going to be in the Helmand province @ Camp Tombstone...should be enjoyable

best of luck to you, may the skills you've gained in training lead you home. hawaii is cool. except for some certain things. been deployed 10/15 months. the ship goes back out next year again, after just 1 year home. when a ship runs aground, it really F's up everyone elses schedule. google "USS Port Royal running aground" see what you find

Not for me, I get sea sick and the idea of being at sea for extended periods of time...

High speed low drag.
4 years-army-vet from desert storm-63w10(mechanic)/special ops...turned 19 in basic and was drinking beer...at 19 in germany-had fun. Got to carry m16, m203,and 60 all at the same time.
