Install of Remote Start

Hit up Travis over at KCAutoSound.com.

He does custom F150 installations in the Kansas City area as well as stock installations for dealers. On top of that he runs the online store.

For us F150s (and only $25 more), he does what's called "pre-wiring", where he deletes any unnecessary wires and ties them up for an easy install. He also includes custom color instructions for our trucks, making it a fairly easy installation.



I installed mine on a rainy Saturday, and he was available by phone to answer any questions I had. Very helpful (and busy) guy. Highly recommended here.



FYI you will also need a PATS bypass.

x1000!!!!! With Travis's pre-wiring and his awesome instructions its a breeze to install them, just takes a little bit of time.

I installed a Code-Alarm (CA-430 I think) model I got from him and those are probably the most complete instructions I've ever used. It even lays out what techniques to install it, not just what wire colors and where they go. You will need a test light just to verify your hooking into the right wire but those are only a couple bucks each.

Highly recommend going with him, saves you a lot of money too!

I looked into the website, I think I would have to spend close to $200.00 for a kit from him, and personally I'd rather just spend the extra $40.00 and have someone install on that knows what they are doing. I will only do the install if the price difference are greater than that.

But are you getting the same product?

If the install is only $40 and your getting the same thing in the end I would probably do that too. I was just expecting the install to be more than that

I already have an aftermarket key-less so it wouldn't really be necessary. I guess for the extra 50 bucks I would just rather have a professional do it that knows what they are doing.

I am confused, do these prices include the kit? If so these are alright prices, but if not then I would do it my self...

then those arnt bad prices then..I however around here I remember people advertising $99 remote start installed...It was a local car audio place check those kind of places too....

Yes they include the kit and installation.

Which kit does it include though and how long will they warranty the work for?

Is it just a add-on remote start for your already installed keyless or a whole new keyless with remote start?

Got Tint and Zeibart said they had lifetime warrenties and D&B was a 1 year warrenty.
