I got a couple of fittings to pick up and just shape the metal. I am going to modify the factory hard lines for now and use them. I plan to go all AN fittings but that project is gonna be a couple hundred bucks. I have so many projects right now, I just need to hit the lottery.

Looks like this, this isn't mine but it gives an idea of how large it is.

Pulled the grille out and started mocking up the mounts for my Tru Cool.
Jarrod, what's a "Tru Cool"?

oh and by the way i sold the 97 silverado about a month ago. she had 203k on her and i got $3000 for it!not bad if you take i bought it for $3800 5 year ago.
Well, 5yrs and X-thousand miles later isn't bad for $800 (plus maintenance).

Drove the S10 to work and back. Getting really pissed off at it. It randomly decides to have a high idle. When I push the clutch in, it sits at about 1800-2000 and then idles down when I come to a complete stop. Some mornings it pulls itself to school at 30mph, while others it will be just fine. This leads me to think that it isn't a vacuum leak, but I could be wrong. Could it be the TPS ($38 part) or the IAC ($63 part)?

You can always try cleaning the IAC, and it moves freely...

Have you done the throttle body mod?

If it's not a vacuum leak, then it's most likely TPS or IAC like you said...
I cleaned it a little bit when I cleaned the TB, but I'll take it out again and see.

I haven't put on a larger TB if that's what you're talking about (although a 75mm is $200 from CFM-Tech).

I don't think it is vacuum just because it is inconsistent, but these engines don't have many vacuum lines do they?

I did notice the line going to the ball mounted on the hood looks really aged and cracking.

Dennis, as long as you're here, do you know what the 4 relays are for that are mounted on the passenger side firewall? (I need to know exactly which one is which; wanna see if the A/C relay is shot; my compressor doesn't kick in, but I can turn it. So either the relay is bad, bad wiring, or the compressor's clutch is shot).

No, it's not a larger throttle body... It's getting rid of that half moon that's sticking up from the butterfly in the throttle body :)
Better low throttle response is all you get... It's there to smooth things out for the old people
If your IAC is clean, and moves freely (turn the key, she'll move, lol)
It's most likely the TPS...

I didn't notice much relays on my firewall, but I haven't really looked, either...
But the A/C should have it's relay in the underhood fuse box... The clutch switch itself is built in to the compressor... Keep in mind, on some vehicles, if the system pressure is too low (as in you lost your refridgerant) the compressor doesn't kick in...

You need a "problems with my S10" thread :lol:

Easier to pick things out as opposed to this monster thread :)

I know I should start a thread, but it would be HUGE! There's too many of them.

My truck doesn't have the underhood fuse box.

I'll take out the IAC this weekend and check it. I have to work the rest of the week and with the time change, its dark when I get home tonight from school.
