Pontiac finally had its own cars; not just rebadging every single model. I would have liked to get my hands on a G8 (the replacement for the Grand Prix).
Unfortunately the G8 was a rebadged Holden from Australia. Great car. I think the G6 was the only model they had that wasn't a rebadge.

Shame to do that to an old performance brand.

cough..aztech..chough...built on the TB platform...

No real GTO and no new Firebird. Oh well :dunno: Just like never getting to see a new cougar from Mercury :(

My first car was a 69 Pontiac!

I remember seeing those. They were a Pontiac version of the Nova.

Yes...Dale Earnhart drove one to many Victories in the Old GrandNational series.

Mine had a 350. It was my Air Force car, and when I was assigned to Mississippi, right after Basic Training I learned to really appreciate AC, that it didn't have!:(

I traded it even with a fellow soldier for a 77 Datsun B210 with AC. One of the many stupid things I did when I was young and dumb!:dunno::lol:

Hard to believe Pontiac was one of Chevy's biggest competitors back in the day, being from the same camp and all. It's hard to believe it's gone forever...

I remember the 421 Super Duty Grand Prix, with a 4 speed, that my brother in law bought new in 64 or 65.. :thumbs:
It was a stripper...no AC..no PS..no anything that might slow it down...:lol:
