Jim don't let all these responses get you down, I get told it should be an inch or two bigger all the time. Those wheels look great on there to me. I think any bigger and they would lose too much sidewall and look funny.

Lots of folks aren't too fond of my truck wheels either.
!

Sadly you can count me in that crowd. I honestly can't stand chrome but more importantly things need to match. Since you have so much chrome elsewhere on your truck the wheels seem out of place.

And most importantly quit watching her in the shower, nobody joins the football team to sit on the bench.

:skull:

HA! That's the nice part. We have a big shower!

People not liking the wheels doesn't get me down. I wouldn't post it in here if I was worried about that!

I see a LOT of wheels in here on other people's vehicles that I would never choose. It's a personal thing. A great way to [personalize your vehicle. I think these look classy on her car and she likes em!

I've looked at 'em several times... and I "like" 'em... BUT...

When you started the quest, I had a strong suspicion that you'd find something that I was going to wish I had waited for. I figured it would be one of those "Dang! Where'd he find those and why didn't I find something like that when I was looking!?" My real reaction was more.. "Huh.. Ok.. Well, at least he finally picked some dang wheels!" :jester:

I have to admit, though, those extra holes around the center cap make something in the OCD part of my brain just bug-out..

Other than that, I think they're a nice looking wheel.. I was expecting something maybe a little more "full" looking, to cover up the discs, calipers, etc. a bit, though.. :dunno:

We all like different things, though.. It took a while from the wheels on your truck to grow on me, too.. and the old-man camper cover.. :jester:

The dual drill concept seems to be the norm on a lot of wheels. Not my favorite but I don't suffer from OCD about it. I wanted something not too flashy that could almost be a stock option. I just hated the stockers that came on the car.

It was never intended to attract 16 year olds who like 20s with rubber band tires.

It's funny to go look at the Honda forums. If you wanna fit in, you run lowered springs and staggered wheels (on FWD cars) and they must be at least 20 inchers. The tires must be stretched (too narrow for the wheels) and anything over 3/4 inch of sidewall is considered a truck tire. If you have half an inch of space between the wheel and the fender lip you MUST add wheel spacers and lower the car more or you should go kill yourselfs... because the world is laughing at you. They are not aware that they are a tiny tiny spec on the human map.

fWONk that bullshit. They can ride around in covered wagons with no suspension and stupid looking wheels with no tires if they want... I'll just keep on cruising in comfort.

Are they 17's, Jim?

Yip. I really wanted to keep the ride of the OEM Michelins. 18s might have looked a little better, but overall I am pleased.

Yeah... There's a lot of B&M'ing on the Outback forum if anyone wants to LOWER their Outback. Nevermind that the person who wants to do it is PAYING to make the vehicle the way THEY want it.. If that person doesn't agree with the forum, they're stupid, "everyone" is laughing at them, etc.. I just don't get it...

I guess it's cool to mod, as long as you want to do the same mods everyone else does.. :uhoh:
