Danno, you are right about the fit. I went through three brands on my 01 before I got one that I thought fit nicely.

I got these and a clear bumper light set, I have a thread on the Tahoe lights I am doing. Got new PIAA buls for them.

Yeah i followed the thread. would they work find with hid's??
No idea. Nothing really works perfect with HIDs IMO, I am not a fan of the glare. You would have to email them and see what they think.

well whats the benefit of the piaas over hids
They are Halogen bulbs. They are identical to the OEM in design so they use the reflector the same way, no glare.

light output wise?
The HIDs are brighter, there is no doubt. You asked about the benefit of a PIAA bulb over an HID, and the benefit is no glare.
The HIDs are definitely brighter.
The PIAAs are only brighter than the OEM bulbs, and also have a whiter light.
