Nick I was wondering if the GMT900 5.3 engine used the same EAO32 oil filter as the 800 series 5.3's? I need to change the oil in the 2011 this weekend and was being lazy and thought I would just ask you.:D

No, it takes the EaO50 not the 32. They changed it back in 07, it now has metric threads.

They do but I have found them to be vary limited. Last time i went in for oil I wanted to see if they had my oil filter. They didnt have a PF1218. I was like WTF? I asked the guy in the back and he said they dont even stock them anymore.

I get the AC PF48F there when I need to restock. I know it was used as OEM on 07-08 4.8-5.3-6.0 engines, but I don't know what other applications. I like to stick with the OEM filter when I can since it was designed for it.

I was talking with a lady I know who works in the auto section at WM. She told me they have no control over what they put in the shelves. Someone in distribution center makes that decision what they get. They monitor every single sale and the computer system determines what a store gets based on sales rules. No two stores will necessarily carry the same items.

For instance my mother really likes the Neapolitan Klondike bars but the local WM stopped carrying that flavor. When I ask why, the mngr told me the main dist center won't send that to them anymore because it was a slow seller. No way for them to override it and get some. Yet when I was in another store in another town some 100 miles away, they had it.
