Yeh, I think the pony car paint has went down the tubes in the last 5 years or so. I've seen several come through the shop like that or worse, and also on the doors. A brand new 2010 came in for some decals, and I noticed on the bumper, the paint had "ran" from the bumper cap, onto the bumper, and then if broke apart, leaving black exposed. I'd be a little irrate if I paid for the higher end model and get crap like that.

Ford has a TSB for that issue: TSB 06-25-15

From what I have read, the aluminum hood was contaminated with iron at the factory and that is what the bubbling is from. You can sand and repaint but it will come right back so unless you replace the hood, you are screwed. I just got rid of my '07 mustang for that very same reason. Ford won't do a damn thing about it if it's out of the 3/36,000

They should own up that they f*cked up royally but they won't so that was my last Ford for a while. :pfingers:
