Just did, nevermind, looks weird, the skull ends up being a negative against the chrome backing.

The whole reason for doing this was to balance out the shocks and make the skidplate itself (not the skull) stand out and be noticeable as a skidplate undermeath my all black truck.

Although it would defeat the purpose of balancing out the shocks, a fine black texture (matte black, almost like dark grey black) on the plate, and a deep high gloss black on the back plate would look killer too.

I still want to see the black plate with the silver backing. If you are contemplating the all black, you need to at least show us that one as an option!
