Problem Resolved - DDM Tuning Apexcone - Once again a happy customer

FINAL UPDATE:

I got the one ballast and both low-beam bulbs back in this morning. Everything works as it should again.

A side note about the corrosion problem mentioned earlier
I took the grill off this time (easier to get the headlight lenses in and out) and checked on the high beam ballasts. Neither one had any paint bubbling of any sort on it. Neither did the passenger side low beam ballast. I'm hoping the ballast that went bad was just defective in more ways than one (both internally and paint). Or perhaps the rusting/bubbling was an indication that it wasn't properly sealed or something, but I'll never know that for sure.


In conclusion, I am once again a satisfied DDM customer. My problem was resolved quickly and to my full satisfaction. I will be buying from them again when I order HIDs for my S10.

Charles, me and many others think that DDM's kits are a very good product for the price.

I was slightly ticked off that I had a problem with only 1 1/2 months of use and also having some surface corrosion starting. The corrosion alarmed me, but I checked the other 3 ballasts (all of which are DDM Apexcone Raptor ballasts {the larger, silver ones}) and none of them had the slightest bit on them; even the ones right behind the grill. This leads me to believe that the one that failed might have had something else wrong with it.

However, as others have said, DDM was excellent in resolving the issue. Dozens of guys on this forum and many others use and recommend DDM for their pricing, performance, and customer service.

That being said, I DO plan on buying from DDM again in the future. At some point I'd like to get HIDs for my S10 too, but I need to figure out if I can fit 4 of the large ballasts or if I need to spend the extra money on the "Slim" ballasts.
