Thanks guys.

I really like those AMP steps... and they're definitely a good option considering my only concern with the N-Fab type steps is the platform since I'll have young kids getting in/out of the truck for years to come.

Won't be getting them anytime soon though. Been spending way too much money and daycare costs are going up next month :ohnoes:

I have the N-fabs on my truck. When the wife was pregnet they worked good for her getting in and out. Also have a 7 year old and she likes them cuz now she can climb in on her own.

I had the N-Fabs on my last truck and wasn't impressed with the step/platform at all. If they were wet they became very slippery. I even had a few people nail their shin when getting in because their feet slipped off. A few times I even slipped on them when getting out of the truck while it was raining. It's no fun going into the office with the calf of my pants soaked/dirty and people saying "wtf did you do"

They were even worse in the winter when i'd drive up to the mountains to go skiing. My friends didnt even try using the step when it was packed with slush.

Yeah my bad. If I remember right the local shop charged me $175. But I only paid $346 for the bars.

Hmmm... I'll have to check out Umbertos truck at the show coming up. I know he has his Line-X'd too so they match his other tube accessories, i never thought about doing that for increased traction though. And the steps + line-x total will be half the price of the Amp steps:thumbs: (but the amp steps are almost completely hidden when not in use which helps make the truck look "taller" too.... well now i have something to think about all winter :tmc:)
