Well, I've gone back and forth between cars and trucks. So here is the list!

First one would be an '90 S-10 Chevy Blazer 4x4, which I didn't have very long. Next and first new car was a 1999 Grand Am GT, black, loaded, and very nice. Had it a little over a year, but no pics of either one. Here are the rest, in the order they were purchased, with mandatory pics.

2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP - Daytona 500 Pace Car Replica. Not quite stock...

2000 Chevy Tahoe Z71. It had a few basic mods.

2008 Cadillac CTS

And of course, the most recent being the one in the sig. Best one so far! :)

Love that Caddy...

Yeah, it was really nice. Too bad GM had to build it.

And since this is the car section, here are a few more pics of it... you know, since it was my favorite car. :)

So, what problems did you have with it? I've had a CTS as a possible next car for a while. I'd be curious what to look out for, since they seem to get favorable marks in reviews..?

It just had way too many material and build quality issues. In the 8 months that I had it, the CTS already managed 6-7 dealer visits for all sorts of issues. Which is fine with me since they provide loaners. But it's the unresolvable issues that I had a problem with. Intermittent vibration issues, loud cabin drone at certain speeds, lots of creaking plastics, various cabin noises, etc.

I was going to have the dealer swap it out for another one, but the other CTS's had the same cheapness. Just push or touch any plastics in the car and you'll see what I mean! Jump in the new Malibu or a GMT-900 truck, and it's a night and day difference. Much better. I just couldn't take it anymore and had to ditch the CTS. Which sucks, because otherwise it was a really nice car... and it wasn't exactly cheap.

:nonod:

I later heard that the person who bought my CTS loved it. He was an older guy so I'll just assume his hearing wasn't all that great. :D I know this all sounds negative, but other than the issues, it was a sweet ride! At least check out the forums, do your research, and go for a really long test drive. Then compare it to the competition. That was the one thing I really didn't do enough of until after I bought it. Guess I was just a bit too loyal to GM and figured all of those initial reviews couldn't be wrong.

Oh well, what are ya gonna do?
