so im probably going with yukon 4.88's with true trac. mag hytec diff cover and saving up money for the go fast mods next year. hopefully the corrosion on the frame parts arent bad after winter. gona have to figure out how to touch it all up, probably use some rustoleum.

Hey man take a look at the TA diff covers. They have one that increases fluid capacity and has carrier bearing load bolts.

The load bolts were the primary reason i went with that cover over the mag hytec.... it really adds strength to the rear; and the 10bolt could use every bit of help! Between that and the truetrac you'll have a good setup. It served me quite well even when i was wheeling with those 355 toyos

i like the looks of the mag hytec lol. was gona paint the fins on it red haha. the TA is just a metal cover but i hear ya on the extra fluid, gona need it when i throw some hp down. maybe i can get that powdercoated black with a red TA logo or something, gotta colormatch it somehow haha.

Blah blah blah blah blah blah.....the Mag Hytec also increases fluid capacity, and has sweet looking cooling fins. :dunno:

You missed the important part.

I chose a bit more functionality over looks. When you slam the gas the carrier tries shooting out the back of the rear; the load bolts help keep it more rigid and reduce flex.

True. Like said, its not required... just something to consider.

I liked taking my 05 offroading and that can be harsh on the rear as the tires constantly loose and gain traction, thereby jolting the rear. DD on the street it won't really make a difference unless you try racing someone.

It's been a few days... where's his new sig?
