Man... the new Camaro and Stang V6 engines make just about the same power as our trucks do!

My dads 01 5.3 ran 15.8 in the 1/4. my step brothers 07 classic 4.8 ran 16.3in the 1/4
Which really is meaningless unless they were identical trucks running the same day.

they ran 1 week apart and they are both ex cab.

That's fine. My point is that tires sizes, gear ratios, exuipment differences, even atmosphere conditions and miles on the truck make differences.

Half a second can easily be made or lost.

Cory. The main point we were making was that they are very close and it makes little sense for GM to make both. An identical 5.3 equipped truck SHOULD be just slightly quicker than a 4.8 - on paper anyway.

Justin can pull the plug on the AFM while you're getting a BB tune anyway....

Monobrow gearheads will always opt for the "bigger is better" side of the argument. Performance wise, it's not even a rational statement... but you can't tell them that. Many significantly smaller engines make as much or more power than our 4.8 - 5.3 trucks ever thought about making.

Hey...:fume:

I do agree with "there's no replacement for displacement" because it's true...when you take into reliability and durability into account. A high strung I4, V6, V8, etc will not last nearly as long as one that makes the same power from a larger package.

But I got to give props to GM when they can make a 6.2L V8 get virtually the same mileage as a 5L V8. And I guarantee you that the larger V8 will last longer...

OK guys, sorry it took so long to get back to you, but work has been crazy, we got 111 lay off notice's on Monday...I'm safe for now, but......

Back to the original question, after some research, found out the level switch, is for Sub Woofer's, and controlled the RCA input...
