Put mine in today, makes a decent difference. I'm sure if I had my old bald tires still, I could make it chirp 1-2 pretty easily. Little advice to everyone who has a 94 or 95 (maybe applies to 93 too), remove the oxygen sensor, it's only going to get in your way. You also have to remove the heat shield next to the cat. converter.

I came across this tread .... I know it's old but I have a question. Would it be a bad idea to put one these in a tranny that has alot of miles on it?

I don't want to scatter the trans:ohnoes:

Depends on how your transmission fluid looks now? If it is still nice and pink and not really dark red to brown they you should be fine. If it looks like the transmission has never been serviced then you might not want to mess with it.

How many miles and how old are we talking about?

That's a tough one. Like Nick said, it's a crap-shoot. On one hand you could somewhat extend the life of the clutches, but on the other, you could shatter the band and clutches.

I'd probably just let it be. Messing with something that's old usually ends in big problems.

Its a 99 4l60-65 almost 270,000.

Your right, best to let it be.

When I'm done with paramedic school I got some real plans for this truck, 3 months to go. For now I'll wait.

Yeah, I'd definitely let it be with that kind of miles.

Best of luck finishing school! :)
