Be sure the cooling system is working at it's best.If you're crossing the desert it will need to be,even at night.The heat can be intolerable.

It's worth a try at least. I have gone on for updates in the past with vehicles. They don't normally tell you there is something available, just one of those things you have to find out for yourself. Have a good vacation.

Not sure had to replace it about 2yrs ago keep throwing a code. So I replaced with what ever the stock number is. trust me it was a pain in the A$$ you have to remove the alt.

I know I told the wife I want to leave early or do a night run. I am use to staying up til 3am so.

So made it there and back with little raise in temp, other than when sitting in LA's freeway and it got 3/4s the way up and then I heard the fan roar! So does that mean she is fine and just runs hotter in the hotter wheather or is there still and issue????

Not sure, dont care now untill the wife says it is a problem. All I am waiting for is to get me a new Truck and figure out how to convince the wife to let me keep my 2door as a toy!!
