I don't think so but I do know it would be louder with tips on each side compared to the lighting style. But once you get the 10 series it wont matter

That's what i was thinking. The thing about the lightning style is that all the sound would be coming out one side, not both. I want a nice, even sound. I'm really wanting the super 10's now, but they're coming soon

A friend of mine had exhaust before the wheel and then moved it to behind the wheel and he said there was a HUGE difference in sound (just to keep in mind for cruising down the road). If you want an even tone, both sides will be your best bet.
