I use my hand....no kidding.Never use a wrench on an oil filter when installing it,then when it comes time to remove it it will come off without using a wrench(with a few four letter words maybe and a some grunts)

But then I have big hands and a pretty strong grip..

Looks like it should grip that soda can pretty good!

My Blazer tightens its oil filters...
They're never the same tightness I put them on with, lol.

Mine does too, but I still manage to always get them off by just grabbibg and twisting the hell out if it. Last time I had a filter I had to use channel-locks on was on my wifes car when the dealer did an oil change on it. Them bastards probly tightened it with a wrench. :fume:

I can't get the leverage needed unless I take my skid plate off... Otherwise I'm reaching through the filter access door

I just use an oil filter socket that fits the filter.:dunno:

That's what I meant by "Kool-Aid spoon." :D

The amsoil filter don't have any provisions to fit one of those cap style filters, the whole filter is smooth like a soda can.

Yeah, that is my biggest issue with the EaO filter is that they don't have the dimples on the bottom for a filter wrench. I do like the way Pure 1 put rough textured paint on theirs. They basically mimicked Advance Auto's house brand filter. Before they discontinued them they had that rough finish on them and it made it nice to get a good grip on.

I have been wanting to get this kit since I change so many different vehicles oil.
