I did run into a problem-i guess i tightened the rockers to tight-the engine would run for a few then stop suddenly like something was forcing it to stop-i hope i didnt hurt anything-i after a while trying to check it out and starting it and running it backed off the rockers and it kept running and seemed better-today im getting to putting on the exhaust-then starting it up and checking it all out-i couldnt run the vavles with all that open exhaust so ill be doing that to that was some of the reason i guess i messed up and had it to tight-i didnt think i did-i turned it by hand on the balancer and tightened just some as i went along-i cant think of any thing else-the dist. was all the way in-i had just had the heads fixed-i did check the starter its ok.

Doesn't sound like you needed long slot rockers for that cam, but you have them now should you decide to go bigger someday. I'll also add, as light as that car is, don't be suprised if you don't get 2200 stall out of it. Being you said its 2200-2600 it might, but I have never seen such a range rating either. If were me, I'd have probably ran a 3000 stall and hope to get around 2500-2600 out of it in such a light car. A heavier car or truck might even get more than 2200. Lots of things to factor in when choosing a stall. Still oughta work good with that cam though, just saying, you might not get 2200 out of it is all.
