There is no need for a big block when you can use a diesel engine. It's more efficient, produces more torque, and will run longer.
Besides, people are putting out big block power on aluminum LSX series motors with bolt-ons. Hell there is a 427ci small-block LSX series motor that puts out more power than you can use in a street car.
If I ever got a car to swap an engine into and had a big heap of money, I would go with a tall deck LSX and go with massive cubic inches like a 460-500ci. then when someone asked me what I have under the hood, I would just say a "small block with heads and a cam"
