Lawnmower Class Action Settlement

I got an interesting postcard in the mail today, telling me I was a class member of a class action suit filed against all the major lawnmower manufacturers and mower engine manufacturers. They're looking to settle out of court and the amounts they're talking about won't make anyone rich (except the lawyers) but will put some gas in your tank.

If you've purchased a lawnmower in the last 16 years (since 1994) you're probably also a member of this class action, and can collect on the settlement.

They have a web site setup to file your claim, and provide information about the lawsuit.

Ha! Imagine that, engine manufacturers that inflate their hp numbers. They should be ashamed.:D

No interest here. I have no doubt that some companies would market engines with deceptive numbers on them... but I see no justification for joining the litigious society.

I'll pass.

I think I'm going to sue because my John Deere is not quite the right color of green.

I get crap like this in the mail all the time and I refuse to participate because I don't want to add to all of the frivolous lawsuits that go on in this country. It's ridiculous IMHO.
