I just went and filled up. I checked the mpg, and I've been getting a consistent 14 mpg out of the 6.0 in my '01 Silverado 2500. I did get 15 mpg one time, but on average 13.5 - 14 mpg. I never got that on my previous trucks. My '99 with the 5.7 averaged 12 mpg, and my previous 350's, I was lucky to get 10 mpg. I think I will probably average 15 mpg during the summer, of course I am getting a BB tune the 17th of this month. I don't know how that will affect my mileage yet. :D

If you are like most of us...
At first it will go down, because it will be so much more fun to drive and your right foot will get heavy at times. :)...:uhoh:

Then after you get used to it... "MAYBE...JUST MAYBE... your mileage will actually come "UP" a bit.

 I'm already impressed with the power this thing has. I can promise you my right foot will feel real heavy with some extra power.

You will be even "MORE" impressed after the tune.

I have my 4.3 V6, tuned.
I drive it relatively easy... just do my work out of it.
Mostly just driving on the freeways around here.

I also have the Caddy tuned.
I love hunting ricers in the Caddy....

You should see their faces when gray headed Grandpa outruns them in a big ol' Caddy.

"THAT" is fun... but it is hell on the gas mileage.

I normally drive with a little bit of sense, but there are times I just want to go, go, go.

I will have to figure out how my wheels affect my mpg on the next tank. Hopefully if I lose the spare I will lose some weight.
