One of my neighbors had one just like it. I remember it now from the tail lights. Very distinctive.

I could buy both of them with titles and original wheels but what would I do with them? I'm not into restoring something like that. The pink one still runs and moves.

That's not a 55, that is a 60. In 61, the body style of the Austin's changed drastically. Rear wings, front end. 1.6L that was used in the MG. Rear post changed also. As did the contruction of the fenders. Name went from Saloon to Farina.

BUY IT!

They only made about 3,000 of those during the 50's and 60's

Restored it'd be worth some really major bucks.

Whoops, my bad. Dropped a couple of zero's there... 300,000 over about two and a half decades.
