Well its been two years since i touched the brakes on the '96. Last time i did them i used Autozone CMAX pads and Oreillys rotors. I've been told by more than one person that if i use ACDelco pads I get better stopping power. Thoughts?

Very expensive, a lot of us on here are using Wagner Thermo Quiet ceramics. No bad reviews either and they are cheaper than AC Delco.

Link doesn't work.

I've used the ceramics from O'Reily's and had great luck with them. Stopping power is not going to be greatly affected by a set of pads unless you are using some sort of race compound pads, but these stop very well and stay quiet for the life of the pads.

I Like em.

Dont buy brake pads from autozone. I had to replace the pads on a car I used to have 2 years in a row. I'll buy my brake parts from napa or carquest from now on.

Sometimes my truck feels like its stopping on its face and i dont have equal brakeing power. My ABS light is not on and when i did my brakes i chages the calipers and all new hardware on the rear brakes and a new master cylinder. I dont think my front pads should have worn down this quickly.

I have to agree with Dave. Autozone would be my LAST resort only for buying any kind of auto part.

Ceramics won't wear like the others. I have a set on the Explorasaurus that have about 80,000 miles on them.
