This is my current exit setup

DSCF9894.jpg

comes out almost flush with the bed side. well the metal hanger thats welded to the pipe broke off again (second time) and the shop that installed the exhaust has gone out of business and so i find myself at a cross roads with three options

1. Leave it as it is and have it welded up (SS Tip)
2. move the muffler forward and then have the exit at an angle with new tip possibly (like Lightning)
3. or just put on a turn down after the muffler

Current tip is SS i just dont clean it so it looks black haha

Thanks fellas

Leave it where it is, but maybe have em throw a little more angle into the tip.

run the pips all the way to the back and turn it down at each corner of the bumper. Thats how my truck is. you can only see about 3/4" of the exaust NO TIPS.

its gonna stay in front of the tire but the current hanger need to be re welded/ beefed up. if i do something other than a turndown at the muffler exit (dynomax bullet btw) then the muffler will have to be moved forward because there isnt enough room to angle it where its at now.

another issue i have with the current location is that when my leave decompresses it rest on the pipe. now it doesnt do this at ride conditions but over bumps and stuff itll hit. might be why it keeps coming of the bracket

Lose the tip altogether. One less thing to clean up when it comes time to wash er up, and much cleaner look IMO.

Leave it as is... or go hidden!

I like mine hidden.

In your situation, I think option 3 would be the easiest & cheapest solution.. Just dump it, right after the muffler, and be done with it..
