I did this when I had my Crown Vic and the results were great. It's cheap, effective, and the end result is very good:

Take a silver sharpie and color the raised portion of your engine cover. I will be doing this soon on the Silvy, but here are the results from my Crown Vic:

Looks good but eh, no one ever asks to see my engine. A 4.8l Chevy just doesn't ever get the hood popped to show off. haha.

Hmm, I was considering painting mine red, but thought that would stick out too much, but silver would look pretty good.

Do a photoshop of silver sharpie the "Airaid" and black sharpie your raised stuff black on your cover.
