I've been knocked down drug out and left for dead
It went down with no problem. I had to help it go back up. I thought it was ok. I put it down about an inch, and was on my way. I got to the store, put it up with no problem. I came back out of the store and went to put it down and nothing. I can hear the motor.
My luck, I broke the damn thing.

Sorry to butt in here but Jeff,you need a new regulator.They are run on a cable system and 99% of the time the cable either snaps or jumps off the rollers and binds up around the motor gear.
Daddy did a HOW TO on replacing his regulator on his hoe.It will be the same thing.

Probably not... But, you'd be more likely to jack-up something in your back, reaching across, to roll it up & down...
The only window I've ever had to service was a manual one. 
I tried to 'help' it up and all of the sudden, it dropped down inside the door and wouldn't come up!
