All rust, after 2 years about all you can do is start trying to stop it yourself or have the thing done completely again. But by a different shop.:(

The only thing about another shop doing it is having to pay them again. i'm not sure if the same guys would redo it for free. sooo...

I can understand that Hunter, do what you can to stop it in the areas that are affected. Then when you get the time/money have it completely repainted. The same guys would be ok but you need to stop that stuff. The quicker the better with rust.

That is an option. It's worth a try at this point.

Here's a few products to help:

http://www.eastwood.com/eastwood-ru...ode=ga110070&gclid=CI7q47Or2Z8CFRednAodVFUCHg

http://www.amazon.com/Henkel-633877-Loctite-10-25-Ounce-Neutralizer/dp/B001AZLA08

Most neutralizers turn black after they take effect btw. I would use Eastwoods product, they make quality stuff man.

Could i get that stuff at a local parts store??:dunno:

Probably not Eastwood, but I'm sure you can pick up a rust neutralizer at an auto parts store. Hell I bet Wally world has it as well.

The spray can kind is as simple as spraying it on and waiting for it to dry. If you buy the stuff in a can just make sure you use a paint brush that gets deep into the effected areas. When it stops the rust the rust turns black and looks like it's coated. So if they gave you some touch up paint you could then touch up the spots that's been neutralized. Fairly simple process.

Well damn! Is it a factory color? I know it may not be a Ford color or whatever, but is it based off a factory paint code? If so Duplicolor makes a damn good match for most factory colors. If it was custom mixed then you're SOL. Either way, stopping the rust is the main priority now.

You shouldn't have a problem finding some touch up paint that's gonna be as close as it can. It's always best that a paint shop give you a little of what they mix, but in your case the DupliColor stuff will be fine.
