Texas Jim
Texas..It's a Whole 'nuther Country
Jim.
Just another idea to think about...
You want something quieter and comfortable for your trips...
If you could find a 2009 Platinum Edition DTS at auction or at a dealer, so that someone else took the first year hit on it...you might be pleasantly surprised at the ride and handling of it.
It ain't your Grandpa's big ol' boat anymore.

It has computer controlled, magnetorheological struts/shocks like the Z06 'vette.
With 9 inch wide, 18 inch wheels and low profile tires...and for a big car, it handles very well.
With a 300HP V8..and 3.73 final drive ratio...it ain't no slouch when it comes to running.
Mine does 0-60 in 6 flat...cruises real well at 100+ and tops out at a little over 150.
I can get consistent 22 to 23 MPG at 80MPH.
And, of course, it is pretty quite running down the road.
But check the vin...the 8th digit in the vin "MUST" be a "9" and not a "Y"
Otherwise, if the 8th digit is a "Y"... it is just a regular DTS.
Only the vin "9" cars have the special suspension/handling package and the HP engine with the 3.73 final drive.
But they are kinda hard to find.
