Well in about 6 months if all goes to plan the Ford will be paid off. So that means time to get a new truck! I am going to keep the ford so that is that. Now comes the delima, either go and get a brand new diesel fully loaded 2500 crew cab short bed. I am looking at Chevy and Dodge for one. Or get a GTI and have that paid off in two years and go and buy a older diesel 2002ish. I want to get a diesel as the are far superior than gassers point blank. However unsure on the whole $800 a month thing again. Where I could get the GTI and pay that much yet only for two years than get a older diesel. So what would you do? I am a full time student and work 50 hours a week. I know I should be looking at houses at this point in life. yet talked with my folks and we both agreed that it would be better for me to stay at home untill I have a BA degree, which I agree with. So what would you do, go route one or route two? Thanks for the help fellas!

I agree with the parents for one. The other would be to get the GTI, fun and economical since you will be keeping your truck anyway. Then when later on hopefully when the economy turns you can get the diesel truck you always wanted without stretching to thin on the income.

Just a thought.:)

I'd say go for the diesel truck... I dont know if you have had a car lately but I hate them. I tried the good gas mileage riced out cars and it sucks.

I am sure that the GTI could be cool and I really like the past TDI's that VW has put out..

But I am about 6'2 and I cant stand to be in a car for more than an hour especially something that small...

:werd: I thought my wife's Altima was "roomy" (compared to her older Altima) and then I got my Suburban and was in heaven with all the legroom and headroom. I don't think I could go without a fullsize truck or SUV from now on. :dunno:
