Do you have the option of telling how long to crank before it starts? It almost sounds like it doesn't crank enough. I know mine (a different system, but basically the same) lets me change the crank time/sensor input. It also has a setting for diesels, which is different.

Oh, and make sure all the plugs are plugged in all the way. A loose connection will hamper ya a bit.

Ok, I watched the video. Due to all the background noise I can't tell for sure how long it was running. Was it about a second then killed or more like 2-3 seconds, then killed? If it was a second or less, that is usually the Passlock bypass either not hooked up properly or not programmed properly. If it ran slightly longer than a second or two, its possible that the remote start unit isn't "seeing" a good tach signal, therefore shutting it down. The tach wire should be a white wire in the harness plugged up to your instrument cluster, thats the best place to tap into the tach wire on a GMT800. But since its under warranty, make them fukkers fix it!

No, he had a bypass installed for 100 bucks.

Edit: Wait a second, that receipt says you bought a 556U, thats not the right bypass for a 1999 Chevy truck. I think that me be your problem right there if thats what they installed in your truck. The 556U is a transponder bypass, you don't have a transponder system, you have Passlock II. You need the correct module to bypass the Passlock II system. There are several units that will bypass the passlock II system, the most common is the DEI 555lw.

Yeah if it shuts off immediatly like that its DEFINITELY the Paslock II bypass not hooked up right. Or most likely the wrong one if they sold you a 555u. MAKE EM FIX IT!
