No, these are common problems with these model Dmax's. Depending on the TSB, this may be covered under the extended warranty GM had issued. I'd have to dig it up.

No, these are common problems with these model Dmax's. Depending on the TSB, this may be covered under the extended warranty GM had issued. I'd have to dig it up.


Weird... I've known lots of both engines that are over the 200 - 300k mile mark (and yes, I mean miles, not kilometers :p lol ) and have only had the truck in for front end suspension work, brakes, and oil changes...

I've seen 1 or 2 of the LB7s with injector problems. I have heard of the overheating issues with the LLY, but never seen any.

I think the problems is more noticable in those that have been chipped... :lol:

I agree with drperry. I've seen a ton of LLY & LB7 engines with 150K+ with no problems at all. My own LB7 is at 103K right now, factory IP and injectors. Just because there is a warranty extention, doesnt mean they will have problems.
