I need to get some front end work done on mine as well.Well, let's see, after I rebuilt the rear end in February, the trans blew up 1-1/2 weeks later, so a transmission rebuild, that lasted about 2 months, then I blew that up again, but they made it good at the transmission shop. So a 2ed rebuild. It's been good since. They had the performance and pressures turned up to much. The Corvette servos do shift good though, and the HD master rebuild kit should hold up too. Then I started on the front end last month. I had to replace the idler arm, it's mount, the pitman arm, and tighten down the wheel bearings. I had it aligned at a shop where I had it done almost 3 years ago. I had a 3 year warranty on the alignment. So I got new tires. Well I knew the alignment wasn't rite, so I go back to the alignment shop, and they give me BS. I leave there, and go to where I got my tires, and had them align it. Now it's rite, finally. Put a set of Hankook kinergy tires. A 70,000 mile tire. So far, so good. They ride a lot better than the Milestar street steels I had, and I only got 15,000 miles out of those tires. Hopefully I can get a lot more miles out of these. View attachment 7484 View attachment 7485
How many miles on them? Finally got the rear brakes done. I do believe they were the original rotors on the pig. Three of the four slide pins on the caliper were a m/fer to get out.
