Man, I don't hear too many complaints about Tahoes, that's a bummer.

Congrats on the new truck!

Well I bought a Tahoe back in September that I posted on here about, and almost immediately started having issues. Shocks were shot, humming inside the Tahoe was awful to the point of giving me a headache when driving, window pillar trim began falling off, etc. It seemed like one problem after another kept coming up and I got sick and tired of it for a vehicle that I hadn't even made the first payment on yet. So at the end of November I got the bug to look at new end of model year 2018 Sierra trucks due to all the rebates.

I finally pulled the trigger in December on a 2018 GMC Sierra SLT with the 6.2L engine and I could not be happier. Overall it was pretty much a wash to trade back in the Tahoe and get the Sierra. I haven't had much time to do anything with it yet due to the holidays and then I went on a fishing trip in Mexico that I will make a different post about with some pictures, but I hope to get to some updating soon!

Sounds like it was a good idea to get out of the those whe you did. Surprised you didn't lose a ton on the trade in.

I got lucky I think. It was still under 30k miles and it was extremely clean so that helped.

So did most of the tahoe money go into the new truck? Or was it even?

Our 2016 Suburban has been good so far in general. The Mylink had a few issues but that is about it and it has 42k on it and was 2yrs old back in Dec.
